My name is Jacob, l'm a 25 year old photographer and cinematographer which idealises the romanticism within the portraits, especially depicting beauty which purifies any gaze of sexualisation, eradicating objectification.
I see the physical appearance as an extension of who the subject is as a person.
Originally having a background in film production, I am fascinated by telling visual narratives, furthering stories to express emotional beauty that represents the beautiful vulnerability of people.
The niche I specialise in is weddings however I am open and always flexible to opportunities invoking and welcoming change as I've experimented with a variety of boudoir and portrait shoots.
My passion for cinematography started after I asked my parents for a camcorder for my birthday 9th birthday after seeing ‘Mr Bean’s holiday’.
I recorded everything from singing songs about creaky doors to every single cat and dog I see in public; time well spent.
After discovering my learning difficulties at university, something that should’ve come as a surprise as I could only consistently read my own hand writing at the young age of 18. I realised that I was not suitable for the typical working environment such as an office, instead my ambition has led me to evolving the creativity, something that I am good at to create something for myself .
